Effervescence
I know that a lot of peeps with OCD wash too much--usually excessive hand-washing or spending hours bathing. Has anyone ever heard of a kind of washing compulsion where the person brushes their teeth excessively instead of, say, doing the long bathing routine?Am I just weird???

Lily-Bee
Do you brush your teeth so much your gums bleed, do you brush your teeth so much it stops you from functioning day to day?? If so it sounds like a problem, if not I would just put it down as lets say a quirky caracter trade and nothing to worry about.Lilly
CB229
HI, I have to say, I clean alot and like things just right. But I agree with the others, if you aren't hurting anything then you're fine.

rachel100
HiYes I have heard of peopel who ocd their teeth! What is weird and what is normal though??I like lilly's approach, bottom line is does it cause you a problem. If you are concerned your dentist could advise you on what is healthy brushing.I now use electric tooth brush as I was putting to much force on my teeth and striiping the enamel. This wasn't an ocd trait just not good tooth care. Rachel PS would put a smiley with teeth but cannot see any.
