Descirbe 5 Traits

Once again sharing my homework, this week it is about awareness and self-nurturing AND you get a treat in the end too. Feel free to join me and list away.

Describe 5 traits you liked about yourself as a child.

• my exploratory side

• lack of fear

• the joy I got from self expression (i.e. dressing myself, choosing my own outfits)

• my ability to always entertain myself, innovative play

• sensitive to other people’s feelings, compassionate, nurturing

And a treat; list 5 of your favorite childhood foods, buy yourself one of them this week:

• hash browns (or just potatoes in general)

• eggs

• sandwiches

• doughnuts

• apples

(Okay those favorite foods came out totally weird? I am buying the apples, they sound good right now. But I won't be surprised if I end up at a Diner or walking home with a dozen doughnuts)

Describe 5 traits you liked about yourself as a child.

As sad as it sounds, I cant think of anything. There were things I liked in my childhood, but nothing I liked about myself.

And a treat; list 5 of your favorite childhood foods, buy yourself one of them this week:

• waffles

• spaghetti

• sweets - preferably cake type stuff

• milkshakes

• butter and sugar sandwiches. Gross I know

Nice balanced diet huh?

Can honestly only think of 1 thing I liked about myself as a kid ...

That I could get relief from life and feeling shit by cutting.

It felt like my own private little secret thing that helped when nothing else did.

Bit bad eh. Still have that habit today.

okay for all those who posted their fav foods, I hope you went out and treated yourself to one of those, even if it is totally silly or weird. (just ate an apple)

And we all remember different parts of our past, so if you can't think of anything now, it might come to you later when you are not thinking about it, memory is like that.

I found it difficult at first too, but reading back on what I said a number of weeks ago I feel better that I was able to list those things--even if I didn't believe them at that time.

If nothing else, milkyna, treat yourself to an ice cream cone. ;) :hug2:

Ohh boy. This made me laugh. Rather appropriate to me, in my eyes. Let's get to it.

Liked about myself:

1 - Picked up my love for creativity in music. Taught myself how to play piano (or rather a yamaha keyboard).

2 - Awesome random sense of humour. Always brought a smile to peoples faces.

3 - Highly compassionate, friendly, and loving.

4 - Perfection in whatever I did. But that often reduced my workflow, which would get me into trouble.

5 - Being able to beat my teachers at a game of chess.

6 - Number 6 I hear you ask? Yeah, why not - Innocence. Loved how I could do something fucked up and not understand why it is. Yeah, loved that...

Foods:

1 - Aunt Bessies yorkshire puddings.

2 - Fray Bentos steak and kideney pie.

3 - Marzipan

4 - Raspberry slush puppy.

5 - The 10p bags of sugar-coated gummies from the local shop.

Peace, Lance
