Conflict

Perhaps one for many of you, but written about my own personal stance.

Conflict

What do you do

when your hopes and dreams,

conflict with those

of your fantasies?

You want to hurt

but you live to love,

you make an effort

but never enough.

What do you do

when you follow it through?

Do you hide your tracks

to prevent the truth?

Do you feel inside,

the sickness and shame,

and promise yourself

that "never again"?

What do you do

when you feel it coming?

Do you try enough

to prevent it showing?

You know that it's sick

and you know that it's wrong,

yet you still proceed,

you still carry on.

What do you do

when the thing you crave,

you cannot have,

for the way you behave?

Could you trust yourself

to show your love,

and restrain your want

to hurt so much?

What would you do, if the thing you want to hurt, is the same thing you wish to love and cherish? Which one wins...

Peace, Lance

Thanks you three. Heh, strange reading that back. Wrote it in about 15 mins last night. Had a few things challenging my patience, but decided to try and fight it with something creative. It kinda worked...but nothing ever lasts.

Good for writing and fighting the challenges that were going on inside of you.

Hope others see this, and are able to try this technique out also.

Hey March...yeah, it helps. But I find that I ultimately end up losing anyway, well I do anyway. But I put up a fight first you know? I'm feeling a bit provoked again tonight, so I may end up writing something else.

But yeah you're right, writing is great for challenging yourself and whatever it is that's pissing you off.
