What Made Your Day Worth Living In?

Hi,

(A continuation of Gratitude Journal for here?

The general idea is to put down 5 things in your day that you had to be grateful for. If it did no more than hold you "together" right on up to making you feel good to be alive- its worth sharing.

Responses are welcome, but the thread's purpose is YOUR day, focus and happiness and of inter-inspiration :)

Hate going first, but... :P Today, I am grateful for (more than 5 things, LOL!)

-the aggie's bright blue color

-being creative with tonight's meal, the sweet smell of something cooking for rumbling stomachs

-clouds to give a glaring, tired sun a break

-being good to myself by taking a break

-the feel of my husband's arms around me

-seeing a white butterfly!!!

-sensuous music that transports the soul

ok i'll try and give it ago in hope it will make me feel better......

1) my children are at school so i have a break

2) im greatfull that its a beautifull day with the sun etc

3) im greatfull my CPN is finnely taking notice

4) im looking after a dog wich is really good company

5) im still breathing

I'm grateful for a husband who always tries to understand and doesn't judge

I'm grateful for a job that is interesting and allows me freedom to wander

I'm grateful for children who are grown and doing well on their own

I'm grateful for my home where I can have secret things and feel safe

I'm grateful for my bottomless coffee cup

OH! :rolleyes: Forgot to say the author of the book that went with this idea (Sarah Ban Breathnach ) says it is also a good exercise to increase mindfulness... cuz it gives one incentive to pay attention to the details in one's life~ Her book is nice (pollyana-ish?) but the ideas of self-care are good.

I am grateful for today's blessings

-For you all in this place, and people like Bryan, Janie and Verbena whose parental love radiates from their posts

-Mom's visit, spending time doing nothing

-NOT having flashbacks

-Surviving grocery shopping without stuffing a sock in some screaming kid's mouth- LOL

-A long awaited cup of coffee, its smell, the anticipation... Being in the moment, yum

-Not "guilting" myself into doing something just to please

Hey there! Janie, when I smoked, I was grateful for my smokes, too- LOL. You all continue to be an inspriration and blessing. I hope your day was good, all that you need it to be {{{{}}}}

I am grateful to be aware of today's blessings....

-calling my friend to come over for dinner this week as a thank you for being so special to me because she just listens . I hope I'm half the friend she is, someday.

-getting that hand-washing done~ and the smell and feel of clean laundry

-laughter at the observation that pigeons are shaped about like bowling pins

-thinking enough of myself (finally) to take the time out to go to a gymn

-getting done with something

-letting go of being a perfectionist, even for a while

-the capacity to feel and to appreciate a good day. The comforting feeling that everyone has good days sometimes :)

I never in a million years thought I'd say this, but I'm grateful for my meds.

I'm grateful that my younger son drove down from Wisconsin for the weekend.

I'm grateful that my car still runs.

I'm grateful that there have been no sicknesses or deaths in my family.

I'm grateful that there is a cool front coming through our area.

Tonight, I'm grateful for

-Not being told to shut up for posting too much here :blahblah1:

-Not beating up on myself for getting sick and being "lazy"

-the smell of lavender

-my husband who loves me just the way I can feel it

-knowing that I'll eventually be able to swallow again :blush:

-working on soullcollage cards

hi ya LH :)

err im grateful for yesterday was

1 had constipation (tis true for 3 days, must be meds ) but on gory note yes i went eventualy to toilet last night lol

2 im grateful that the council tax office was able to help me and not take my aggressive behavour to heart.

3 im grateful that i actually was able to go into town ( i get anxious when i go there )

4 im grateful that my daughter was a good girl and didnt try winding me up

guess thats it doh

Yesterday

I saw my T after two weeks off.

I saw my best friend who is like a mother to me and have not seen her in awhile. We had lunch and chatted.

Bumped into my fave professor from college in a pizza restuarant.

I found this pretty weird because I saw the three women I trust most and have not seem my friend or prof. in ages. I think it was a sign. :blink:

My husband was working on our plumbing last night and still this morning, so I'm HOPING that I'll be grateful for running water.

I'm thankful for the long skirt I"m wearing today. My daughter in law bought it for me.

I'm thankful that my friend Jen stuck up for me when my boss got after me for scraping the bottom of my bowl compulsively.

I'm thankful that I"m not a nurse - not here anyway - what a hard job!!

Hey {{{BB, Verbena, Vicky, Bry}}} aw hell, everyone! :)

Today I'm so blessed to have experienced:

-getting up feeling better than yesterday

-driving reallllllly fast in a safe area with AC/DC playing (lol)

-having a really good therapy session

-my friend's surgery for lung cancer went well

-feeling loved by my husband. Nothing quite gets "there" ya know?

-the sweet post by BB

-Sunshine, butterflies and popsicles~ feeling *groovy*

-dancing really goofy at my pet birds- and they dance, too, lol.

im grateful that this website is here when i wake up

i have therapist today so i guess im gratefull at that

i still have cold and constipation but im gratefull that i took a laxative to help me lol

im grateful that my psychy put my meds up even though i cant feel anything becuase of cold in head lol

im grateful that music was invented and i need to listen to some now..

guess thats it for now..
