My obsessiveness with how washing is done is starting to drive me insane :/

I do specific loads...

- WHITE

Washing powder

Stain remover for whites x2

Fabric softener

Wash on 60degrees

-LIGHTS

Washing powder

Stain remover for whites x1

Stain remover for colours x1

Fabric softener

Wash on 60degrees

-COLOURS

Washing liquid

Stain remover for colours x2

Fabric softener

Wash on 40degrees

-DARKS

-BEDDING AND TOWELS

-LIGHTS

Washing powder

Stain remover for colours x1

-DARKS

Fabric softener

Wash on 40degrees

My washing powder always has to Fairy Non-Bio

My washing liquid always has to be Fairy Non-Bio

My stain removers have to be Vanish

My fabric softener has to be Comfort

If a wash is done and even 1 of the above is slightly wrong I allow the washing to dry and then have to do it again.

If I don't do it again for any reason I can't sleep, I lose my appetite, I become unreasonably angry and eventually... Have to do it again anyway...

This is starting to drive my partner and I more than a little insane!

How about this experiment; take a load of wash and do a tiny little thing different then you normally would, something not too upsetting.

Then accept this will make you anxious and grumpy etc allow those feelings to be there for as long as they need to be, they will eventually pass!

Practice this and when ready do something a little bigger different.

Baby steps!

I wouldn't know how to pick a little thing :/ They're all important steps to me... Sometimes I go out and let my partner do the washing so I can't see what's going on but I come back so anxious about the fact that the washing might not have been done properly that we end up arguing :/ xx
