AndyL
All the time, especially when I was younger. But the more violent impulses are ultimately self-destructive. Lashing out alienates the people who care for you, so it turns out that strategy doesn't work so well if you want to keep your friends and family on your side. I recommend a better one, a little thing I have come to call Existential Dadaism. It's a work in progress, but it boils down to: the world is absurd, so treat it as such. When I began to look at the world that way, suddenly it became far less annoying or threatening and I began to develop a sense of humor about it. And humor is a hundred times more powerful than fists, I guarantee it.
