Disengaged

Recommended Posts

Hey peoples.

There's quite a lot of parts that are open to any interpretation of your own meaning, but I modeled on my own personal ways. Anyways, slightly different style to my usual, but see what you think.

Release, release, I must release.

There's time to kill, I'm on my knees.

Disengage my brain, my soul.

I'm under now, must fill my hole.

I gasp, I shake, become a slave.

Confusion rests in what I crave.

I grasp, I hold, a grip so firm.

Cannot let go, I never learn.

A face I know, again on show.

A face that shines, a sweetened glow.

A face that cries without a tear.

The face is mine, without the fear.

The lips that scream, but never move.

The nose that smells what can't be proved.

The eyes that burn right through my soul.

Detatch me from the world I know.

Tick and tock, a second gone.

A lifetime plays with every one.

Remember, think, remember again.

Act on needs instead of shame.

Shame sits low when I am under.

Only shows when all is over.

The cycles strength, I cannot break.

Already planned, already fate.

Clear up time, hide it all.

Keep it safe within my walls.

Hate myself, hate my doing.

Hate what I'm so fast becoming.

Questions asked, I pretend.

Belief that this will reach an end.

I released, but raised the shame.

I released, and will again.

Peace, Lance

Goosebumps.

Definitely something I can relate to, but it touches me more that it is so so personal. I've come to know you just a tiny little bit, and I can tell how much you're struggling. You are a great person though, you're such a sweetheart, and I truly hope someday you'll be able to appreciate yourself for what you are really worth.

You are not your secrets, you're Lance.

Love and hugs,

Lynn

  • 2 weeks later...

I like how you are able to rhyme. That's really neat. It was easy to read, and each little part of it made you think some more. Coolness.
