Doctor Dysphoria
I should take tegretol 800 mgs a day and zyprexa 10mgs. I swas put on the tegretol after i was on lithium . I've not been able to take mood stabilser properly since when i was on lithium and got told there wasn't a mood problem only dependent personality disorder. I had gome to seek more help and was told only for severely ill -govt policy. I then asked 'No buipolar or schizoaffective down there and got the only dependent pd . Really screwed with my brain cos how come all the blood test forms had bipolar or schizoaffective on them and sometimes things like hypomania? Like if i didn't have a mood problem how come the f***ers had been dosing me up with a drug with heaqvy duty side effects. The zyprexa helps the war zone in my head but it turns me into a zombie. I can't be a zombie .It would mess me up big time being as carer for my vascularly demented wife. I spend most of my time feeling paranoid, irritable, anxious depressed, tense inside, everything's hopeless, with a measure of busy mind to boot ie a dysphoric dipstick. WildFlowerChild01
hi ktodee, reading your posting.....do U by chance have bipolar I? How long have you been on 900mgs Lithium/day? How has that been for you? I've just started Lithium and there's been talk about increasing it...........I'd be interested in hearing your experiences with side effects......Thanks Wisdomi am on lithium and the only side effects i have now are slight (very slight) trembling of the hands, dry mouth, and increased thirst. you will have to drink a lot of water to make sure you stay hydrated.i had lithium toxicity about a month ago. that was bad. my hands shook so badly i couldn't write or hold a cup of water or do my beads. i had major balance problems and muscle tremors every time i tried to practice yoga. once i fell out of my shower because i lost my balance. i also was very confused and disoriented a lot, and my speech got slurred. if you have any of those symptoms you need to tell your doctor right away.currently i am on:lithium 600mgswellbutrin sr 300mgsrisperdal 2mgsklonopin 1mgand also:benadryl for sleepiron supplements for anemiaand a multivitamin. all told i take 11 pills a day. Dante
Effexor 250 mg.Buspar 10 mg.Zyprexa 10 mg. (changing soon to Risperidone 1 mg.)Just wondering...Is it possible to become addicted to Seroquel?I think I rely on it too much...without it, I just cannot sleep at all...My eyes stay wide open till daylight. When I was on it, all I wanted to do was get off of it. The effects of Seroquel are very powerful, but I don't think it's known to be addictive, just helpful with sleep. I see you're on 200 mg. That's a lot for anyone. It works pretty well to solve mood problems, but for me it seemed to depress me for a few hours after taking it, and I just couldn't have that.
