All anti-d's take time to work, however after being on them for around 2 months, if you don't feel any different then you need to see your GP.

The maximum dose that can be taken on Citalopram is 60mg

After trying a few antidepressants in my early days - this was the best for me at that time. I had no side effects and it worked superbly until i reached maximum dosage level. I didnt feel much in the first week, but then started to feel alot more "stable". Then I must have become accustomed to it - and it wasnt enough for me. But my gp at the time was very positive about it, and In my opinion it was a good medication.

Hope its the right one for you x

ive been on citalopram for about 8 years and its done a good job.it didnt cure me but reduced my depression by 80-90%.just recently i have sunk very deep back into the black hole that is depression.i'm not sure if the tablets have stopped working or if i would have relapsed anyway

i would advice anyone to try them as they worked wonders for me after trying 6 other antidepressants

i wash you luck on themxxx
