Big day tomorrow folks!! How are we feeling about it? I'm a lil worried, but hopeful :) I know I'll be able to just log on here and get some support when I'm finding it tricky

I don't know if this has already been said, skimmed through posts but couldn't see anything. I think it would be a good idea to allow ourselves a treat once a week because I think I read somewhere that you are less likely to succeed if you are denying yourself everything.

I am looking forward to this because all the work that I did before Christmas has been wasted cos I've put all the weight back on and don't feel quite as fit again. I've been eating takeaways, chocs and all sorts of other stuff. So I am looking forward to starting this and here's to being fit and healthy in 2011 :D

new year has come round sooo quickly :) ... ohhh quite exited...

Good idea cats :D think just having a healthy attitude - its not a 'diet' its healthy living ... and there are some days when a bit of chocolate is a neccessary thing! ... just not the whole huge bar of it, (and then 10 more hehe.)

hey, good luck everyone - im a lil bit worried about it as i have had bulimia and anorexia although they were caused by borderline pd, so im not sure...just get worried that i will obsess - although i do want to get healthier xxx next year is a new year - anyone doing this with an overactive thyroid and on quetiapine (seroquel)?

So far so good for me. Had cereal and cuppa tea for brekkie and just had some chunks of melon to keep me going til dinner time :)

Looks like I have been the first one to cave. I know I said we weren't going to punish ourselves, but I am so ashamed!! I didn't even last the day. :-( And I am feeling really unwell so don't think I'll be doing any exercise at all today!

I really hope everyone else is doing better than me.

Wellll, I was supposed to be quitting smoking today - made it til 3 and then wouldja looka that?! Somehow, there is a half-smoked ciggie hanging out of my mouth... Ooops.

So a big fat MEH to that one.

Also stuffed my face ridiculous amounts this morning - comfort eating is a huuuuge talent of mine. I should be famous for it. Wonder if that would be possible?? I don't mean Guiness World Records famous... Was thinking more along the lines of having my own gallery where people can pay extortionate amounts to stare in awe and wonder as I make 30 quids worth of jelly beans and space raiders disappear while sitting on a candy throne...

Ahhhh, a girl can dream, right?!

However, I will be kicking my backside into line come teatime - gunna do a nice herbified chicken & some veg on the george foreman grill m shove it in a pitta bread, & have a darling pineapple sorbet which I shall be allowing myself a scoop of for afters.

Have consciously increased how much water I'm drinking today, and haven't done any exercise as such, but have been active as been racing round house like a blue-assed fly hoovering (Even tackled the stairs!), dusting, polishing, sorting thru laundry and whatnot.

Feel like shit today, but am going to throw myself into this healthy living stuff and hope that all the crap that's going on around me just blows over.

Hey darlings - my laptop decided it hated me and wanted to break :( ... so sorry i haven't been on to report and support!

Unlucky and Crippie - don't worry about it :) ... its all about positive long term changes, think its natural that we may have a bit of a bad day, everyone does :) we just have to not punish ourselves about it! ... You guys are amazing and I know that you can do this!

Been binge free for 4 days now! ... though, the exercise happened on day one - but not today as getting out of bed was just a nono.

Hope you are all ok .... really really miss this forum ... its unbelieveable how much support you all give, just knowing you're here. (need laptop back!)

Well done for being binge free.

Ummmm, I am doing okay, have been eating fruit for breakfast, only had 1 packet of crisps today, which is sooo good for me, as i'm normally on about 5/6 a day

OMG Heffalump! 4 days that is amazing! I hope you are proud of yourself!!!

I've still not managed one day even following my diet plan let alone not binging.

I think I need some help, but I don't really know who or what to ask for?

Thanks sweety - think a massive part of it is that ive been in bed for 4 days!

Oh massive hug! dont worry - keep positive....

Hows your diet plan? is it realistic and not starving? ... Have you talked to the doctors? i know they do have meds that help to rteduce binging .. what did they say when you asked about that one medicine?

guys, am now OBSESSED with my blender! it helps sooo much for eating healthily. i am really bad for not eating before i leave the house, and then forgetting to get lunch so basically not eating til 5 in the afternoon or something - NOT GOOD. but i got a recipe for a really cheap and easy to do smoothie from a nigella book. so if you have a blender, you have to try this. it's really healthy and fills you up. i have a massive prob with feeling sick when i eat (anxiety) and this doesn't make me feel sick at all, so it's perfect.

for one person you need -

1 banana (best if you've frozen them first, but if not, doesn't matter)

150 ml milk

4 teaspoons ovaltine (just discovered this is actually quite good for you, although it's sugary. lots of vitamins n stuff.)

1 teaspoon camp coffee/espresso coffee (camp coffee is this liquid coffee stuff, but you can just use strong coffee if you can't find it...if you don't like coffee you can use peanut butter instead apparently!)

1 teaspoon honey

put it in a jug. blend. VOILA!

I must admit I've not been excellent either, mostly lead astray by a choclate brownie cheesecake and tub of baileys cream <_< However I didn't eat it all in one go, I didn't even eat the whole cake! Which I could've quite easily done before. I've had 3 bits over 3 days so I guess thats not as bad as it could've been. And they were just average slices too, not huge lumps lol.

So far today I've had Special K type stuff for brekkie (175 kcals with semi milk), 2 mugs of tea with skimmed milk and was going to have a crunchie, but instead opted for a 69 kcal milkybar :lol: gonna have a tuna meal thing for dinner I think, and probs gonna make Philly Sausage & Bacon Potato Bake for tea tonight which is apparently 348 kcal per portion. Just a new recipe I found so gonna give it a try. Sounds yummy!

Anyhoo, just thought I'd drop in n update and try and help keep myself motivated.

Just got out of bed - and am on mums computer as the laptop is still poorely ... but will head to the kitchen in a bit to try and find something. Really not doing to well with the exercise though - how is everyone else faring with that?

OOOH! Forgot to say, I've done my 30 mins on the kinect this morning :) and debating whether to go for a walk before picking daughter up from school. Probably will coz its either that or sit arond the house avoiding food til 3 :(

Afraid im failing at the exercise.... and while i can say i havent binged in 9 days..... i havent really had anything much to eat, and the last few days have been only liquides. After yesterdays events - the thought of food makes me want to vom. (too graphic?) ... oh well - upside to a broken heart..... weightloss ...

That's absoflippin'lutely brilliant that you've gone so long without binging!!! *hugs*

I'm doing crap on the exercise front too, hun!! I've nipped to the shop a few times (which is only 5 minutes away!!), swept the living room, kitchen & hall a few times each day, and i've made trips to the bathroom, shuffled to the fridge.... And that's it!!! :mellow:

We'll get there, though!! Food-wise, I've done okay. If we ignore last night (I was stoned, so whatever I ate then sooooo doesn't count, right? Right?!), then Ive managed to either resist binging, or stopped myself soon as those "ohmygod I need more, more, more, now, now, now!" feelings made themselves known. So, pleased with myself for that.

I've been getting up really late, but have had decent-ish breakfasts, drank not as much water as i should, but there's an improvement, and I've only skipped, like, 4 meals. Think the skipping is mostly due to waking up late, not being hungry, etc etc.

...And you say that you're the one "going on"!!!!

Blahhh! I'll shush now! :P

Doin ok, better yesterday and today. Getting my head round it a bit now I think. Didin't help that it was 'that time of the month' when we began! But lost a little bit weight lol, 3/4 of a pound haha. Walked almost 5 miles yesterday with the pushchair and walked for an hour n a half today, to the town, round the shops and home again. And walked daughter to school n back. So fingers crossed I can keep at it for another week and get a better weight loss next week.

I have only managed one binge-free day yesterday but that was because I was feeling so crap!

How is everyone doing? ... almost 2 weeks in....

Have to admit... i havent eaten in ages.... just tea and coffee, and the occasional hot choc (needed hehe)... dont no exercise... fail! poop. And today, the decision is made as to whether i go in as an inpateint :( ... ugh. not in a great place atm :( it would be nice if something just went well, and that happiness isnt constantly shown to you, placed beyond your reach and then taken away. Maybe Id be better in a ward? away from everyone and everything? ...

Lord - im positive *slaps face* must snap out of it

Are you going in as an inpatient for the binge eating?

How did you swing that one?

Mind you, I have no idea what it will be like but I guess anything is worth a shot, even though it sounds like you've been loads better the last few weeks.

I'm just the same really :-(
