The actual goal was rise above the BPD path of destruction to improve my quality of life

The fantasy for me is has always been about about achieving peace of mind, and independence. I imagine myself strikingly beautiful, unfettered, placid and wise. After that everything else just naturally falls into place.

The reality, is actually a lot more about vulnerability, acceptance, and commitment to life, which mean a commitment to self and being alive and human. That last part holds me back so much, I can't commit to what I do not consistently experience as a tangible self, I get entangled in a sea of existential thinking.
