Truelove89
I'm starting therapy in a week and they want me to come off my tablets. I'm currently on 40mg fluoxetine daily, and 2mg risperidone daily. I wondered what the withdrawal effects would be and if there's anything I can do (diet/relaxation etc) to reduce these? Lily-Bee
I agree with Lou,needs to be done slowly under guidance. Just quitting will probably cause great misery. As for side effects if you do it gradually they should be bareble, common things are;headache, dizzy, feeling emotional and/or anxious etc For headaches and stuff Paracetamol mostly works fine. Things that relax is you is always good,be gentle with yourself, discuss any big things that come up with doc. Lily
imdebbiem
Oh yes I agree with both the above, make sure you come off Fluoxetine with your doctors guidance... It's easiest to gradually reduce the Fluoxetine before stopping it completely. I have suddenly stopped Fluoxetine before, really don't recommend it. xx
