velouria
We sat in the corner screaming With our hands on Our ears To block out the gnawing shiver That always had been, now Louder, persistent. While the children play in their Costumes , a high ring Of laughter Drifts in through the wood Of the door to our sanctum, Little mockingbirds. I crumble against the glass that Holds her in. It keeps us both In terror, Clawing at the floorboards And tasting the sting of the blood On our lips. What had happened to the night? Who had stolen the glow of The girl? Some say there can be only One, but we know better. She knows. We thought we were trapped, but it was Only serenity in the heat of That room. The place that held me more Than I held myself, blinded By loneliness. Now I slide through hell by day Without the solace Of insanity. She slips, and it is worse now than Our time at the window Ever was.
lostsoul
Wow. That's really good. Really really good. Well, that's what I think. I'm into writing and it's my humble opinion, but I just wanted to let you know that I enjoyed it and to say that you should post up more! :)
