calyps Posted April 27, 2006 Report Share Posted April 27, 2006 I take none.Except my prn (amisulpiride) if I need it (once a month, if that).I got sick of taking them.And paying £6-whatever for the privilage.I seem to be doing ok without them (for now, it's been almost six months since I gave up the prozac, amitriptyline, quinine). And I feel awful because I take three in the morning !!!!Lamotrigine, Sertraline, and the contraceptive.Well, and if I have migraines, I take (ergotamine tartrate and caffeine) Cafergot (dunno if in UK is the same name)OK, and if my allergy gets bad, I take Loratadin.Oh, and Ibuprofen when I have muscular aches from the old Fybromialgia.Of course, if I feel too anxious, take my Rivotril.Yeah, and sometimes I get really contractured and need a miorelaxant.OMG, what am I doing to my body ????????? I still have the promazine, which I used...But they told me to stop taking it, and well it's not like it did shit anyway.My dr won't give me diazapamSame! Little Creature Posted July 17, 2006 Report Share Posted July 17, 2006 Hi guys, my doc didn't give me benzos because I was in a relatively "addictive" stage, meaning that I could get back to depend on it (I used to OD with Rivotril, just to pass out.)But as soon as I started showing improvements, he gave it back to me!!Is the guy nuts, giving benzos to an ex-addict? No, because he knew I could handle it then but not before, and now i only take it when I'm in a crisis (now, for instance).Only 0,25 a day and for 1 week maximum, if I can solve the crisis.Remember, all this won't last forever! It comes a moment when you start feeling better and you almost can't believe it.Hang in there!!BTW, last Sat. my doc and I talked about STOPPING THE WHOLE THING to try getting pregnant.I'm scared as hell, but also really excited.He told me that IF SOMETHING HAPPENS I can get some quite safe meds after the first trimester, and even if I don't intend to, that made me feel safer.It's like knowing that the crutches are behind the door, JUST IN CASE...
