Lauren
Sleep now weary monsters, with all your humane familiar faces nestled in rest deep in your pillows do we share the same dreams? Ease your minds dear evil beasts from lurking in dark places from frightening children and stealing lives. In dreams- you can return to your own child state. Free from your fangs and claws Free from you devious ideations Whether you are the monster I knew as mother Or some know as daughter Or some swoon as **** Rest your burdened pained heart now And know all is forgiven In dreams we are free to be safe children Why must we forget? Hitler once was a babe in his mothers’ arms Or that Pol Pot, and Stalin Once were just children playing and laughing and learning and fearing Why must we forget their sponges are filling please choose the nectar of healing and dream my dearest beast of violence or vileness of vigilance or vigilantism maybe we can see our monsters as the children the once were before their after set in And maybe we can see the beasts within our safe human skin and see that all may be forgiven in the solice of connection So goodnight now it's time to rest all my old and familiar dearest beasts- I'll leave the night light on to set you at peace
