em Posted March 5, 2007 Report Share Posted March 5, 2007 The reason behind all the spam is because some one silly designed a program that lets the computer register and post on forums automatically. Even when the 'type in these letters' bit is used (which is what is meant to stop them) If the spam is in someones thread then I would urge people to use the report button, as these are harder to spot than the topic ones and are upsetting for the topic starter. aylaah Posted March 19, 2007 Report Share Posted March 19, 2007 could I just add to this that if they are in archive forum, that is set up for them - multiple users reporting spam that is already in the archive is a bit of an issue. Please if you read posts via 'view new posts' - check the name of the forum it appears in - if its in archive forum it'll be spam, so don't read it.
