The first year I came to America when my lovely teacher announced that santa did not exist. I stopped leaving out my stocking this year because my father told me that I was too old to still be getting them. 3, Do you have any children. If not do you want them?I do not have children yet. I am really not sure if I want them right now. I thik I would like to adopt though. 4, Do you belive in marriage? Yes 5, What is the best book you have read? There are so many I just cannot choose. My favorite book in high school was "Frankenstein" by Mary Shelley. 6, Favorite movie, why? - "Dirty Dancing." I stopped beleiving when i was about 10 but I have ALWAYS left my stocking out- my parents still do them for each other as do my partner and I. 3, Do you have any children. If not do you want them? None yet, I am SO undecided on whether I want! 4, Do you belive in marriage? It's perfect for lots of people, but not for me. 5, What is the best book you have read? Catch 22 by Joseph Heller 6, Favorite movie, why? Arrgghh- too hard! Which genre? Fave of 2004- Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. 7, What would be your ideal date? Yes, if there's trust and commitment and love. 5, What is the best book you have read? So many! recently, "Clan of the cave bear" by Jean M. I wanted to be an airline stewardess but I am extremely nearsighted and short, two things that didn't go along with the job description back when I was a kid. I don't remember a time when I ever believed in him or hung out stockings, but my half-bro is 12 years younger than me, and I used to be his 'Santa Claus'...He didn't find out till he was about 8 or so...maybe he peeked when I snuck into his room at night...hehehe... 3. Yes, I have a 4-year-old daughter who's not living with me right now as I've yet to sort myself out...I think I mentioned that somewhere in another thread...I would love another child with David (before I reach 35...after that, I'm getting a hysterectomy!), but I doubt we will, given the circumstances... 4. Do you belive in marriage? Oh yes, most definitely...Marriage with a capital 'M'. 5. What is the best book you have read? I've read so many books, I really can't decide...I've got a huge list in my head, it'll take forever to get through it all!!! But at a push, I'd say the Oxford dictionary...It's very useful, and has all the words in it!!! 6. Favorite movie, why? Same with the books...can't really decide...I have fave genres though...Absolutely love period films from any culture (as long as there are loads of costumes, I'm interested), gothic films, musicals, foreign films, old films (especially if they star Audrey Hepburn)...Not too keen on mainstream hollywood, but will watch something like Lara Croft 'cos Angelina Jolie's PHOOAR!!! 7. Describe your ideal home. A treehouse Haggerstone Island style (Check out their Gallery...Gorgeous!) with a husky, 2 siamese cats, a horse, David and my Zhouyi (daughter)...A home with peace, happiness and tranquility. Failing that, a converted Warehouse/Lighthouse/Barn with loft, lots of wood and metal, open-plan/hidden storage, filled with fantasy, art, murals and vintage stuff, huge professional kitchen that's also cosy, sunken bath-tub/jacuzzi and outdoor garden shower, glass tubular fireplace in the middle of hall...A place I'll have fun designing (My dad's an architect, so this is prolly hereditary!), all based in the countryside or near beach...Do you think that's asking for too much??? 10. Neither...I don't drink fizzy drinks...They hurt my tongue and taste like cough mixture...ACK!!! 12. What colour is the duvet on your bed right now? Orange, and could do with a wash! 13. There are 6 cats in this household, including a lost stray we've almost tamed (suspect it used to be abused), and another which belongs to a neighbour but visits so often it's an honourary member of our daily 'cat conventions'...These cats are not strictly mine (although I am partial to Tippy and she sleeps on our bed), but I used to own a kitty called Taboo who was part-Abyssinian. 14. Do you support any charities on a regular basis? No, I don't single any out...I just give whoever, whatever, whenever I can...Wish I had more money to give though!!! 15. Whats the least amount of money you can walk around with and feel secure? Money is never safe with me...I'm an impulse spender...I prefer to have David hold the purse strings...He's far more sensible... 16. Are you special? No. Unless you mean 'am I disabled', then yes...my brain doesn't work. 17. What is your nationality? British 18. How far did you go in education? Would you go back? Third and final year at the uni of central lancs reading journalism...and yes, I'd go back...should of done Fashion or Graphic Design instead... 19. What job did you want as a child? Performing Artist...on stage, not film...Preferably with a crew like Les Mis etc etc...or perhaps an Opera Singer...I still wish I could be either of those, but have never had the guts to go for it...Plus, can you imagine the panic attacks I'd have???? 20. psyche bunny Posted January 4, 2005 Report Share Posted January 4, 2005 1, What is your favorite season? spring as it is so full of hope.....what with all the buds coming through and the new leaves breaking on the trees and the sun shining, days that little bit longer, birds starting to pair up it is all so hopeful...for some wierd reason I start to sing in my mind, not out loud The Doors 'break on through' when I see the crocus buds coming through the lawn in the park etc, I now call crocus break-on-throughs (yup well I am mad y'know) mushroons have the same effect on me in the autumn which is my next fave season, winter is next and I find summer hard to cope with the most due to the heat and the fact that I get ill in the hot weather, heat stroke being my dreaded fear have had it too many times now. 2, Do you still belive in santa. If not when did you stop leaving out your stocking? I believe in the spirit of Santa and stopped the stocking thing some time in my childhood cant remember exactly...... 3, Do you have any children. If not do you want them? No I cant have children and cld not bring myself to even conpemplate the IVF thing as I feel it is against 'god', nature and all that is sacred. I had too much going on in my life to put myself though all the physical, hormonal upheaval not to mention the emotional side of it, and it only has a 7% success rate. No way, better of puttting that energy into coming to terms with my loss. 4, Do you belive in marriage? Yes, marriage is a state of mind as much as anything, we have been married for 20 years this october and it is different to living together cos if it is not a state of mind for you, you are still married! 5, What is the best book you have read? hmmmm, so many to chose: not in any particular order Lord of the Rings, -I first read it in 1983 by the way- The Wise Wound (about menstruation and the spirituallity of it) Ghost Fox, a novel about a young woman kidnapped by red Indians during the French/English terratory war in canada/usa, The Rainbow Journey and Journey of the Soul by Dr Brenda Davies 6, Favorite movie, why? Oh God what sort of question is that? Appocolypse now, Gone with the Wind, ?Watership Down, Ice Age, Lord of the rings (again), 7, What would be your ideal date? crikey been out of the dating game so long but an ideal day out with hubby wld be.... to go up to london the night before and then spend all day in the V&A, then go for a meal, prolly italian or indian or maybe morrocan and then go to the cinema and then go back to the hotel for a night, yeah I know boring but I am easily pleased. 8,Do you like people touching your feet? sometimes 9, Describe your ideal home. it would be victorian, detached, big garden, 3 floors and a basement and loft conversion, it wld be simply furnished, lots of natural fabrics, wood etc, stained glass, wood floors, no wallpaper just painted walls, big kitchen diner with wooden fittings etc, bedroom en suite with a shower, oh and a swimming pool and stables, a sound proof room for loud music, a big room for my sewing machine so I have room for cutting patterns, fantasise- fantasise.
