Could I Pass As Male?

Sean

Recommended Posts

Hi guys and girls,

Opinions would be greatly appreciated. As some of you probably know, I'm a pre-everything transguy. i.e. A boy in a girl's body. Am hoping to begin transitioning to male when I turn 18, but until then, I just try to look as male as possible i.e by binding my breats, wearing men's clothes, sometimes lowering my voice, and going by the name of 'Sean' too.

Sometimes I can 'pass' as male and use the gent's loos..but sometimes I can't.. so am wondering what you guys think?.. Could I pass as male?

Opinions would be much appreciated.

Sean.

P.s. I hate telling people that I'm female in body, so this is kinda a big thing for me.

Thought you where male, would never have guessed youre a male in a female body.

Good luck with the transition, how old are you now, how much longer do you have to wait??

Hiya Sean,

Hey I always had thought you were male too, I have seen you around here quite alot and read your posts and your picture makes you look very male, a very good looking male at that. I can feel your excitement and wish you all best.

I have the misfortune to be a very skinny female and if I turn sideways I could pass as a male, now don't get me wrong I was one of the biggest tomboys out of all my friends as a kid but I am quite happy being female I just wish I had the bits to show that I am female lol.

Lots of luck and hugs Sean

Wow, so much to respond to!

Ok, here we go.. 1st of all, thankyou all for your lovely, lovely comments. They made me a very happy boy.

2ndly, here are my responses:

Lilly, I'm 15 and have to wait another 2 and a half years. I have a gender specialist now, so the day I turn 18, I can start physically changing.

Justine-your post was lovely and made me smile. Hey, I could always donate my breats when I've got rid of them lol.

Mazer34-*blush*!! hehe.. I'm kinda speechless, actually.

Sunshine bear-It's awesome when someone understands! Very few people do.

Vorpalblade-Yup, terrifying time.. but MEGA exciting. It's like... you know, becoming the guy I've always been. Not on Testosterone yet (too young).. but I do shave. Shame there's like nothing to shave. It's kinda cool, though.. because in shaving and stuff, I have ickle ickle hairs which are kinda growing... just a shame noone can see them.. yet.

Thanks sooo much for all the comments.. keep 'em coming!

Sean. x

I think it must take a great deal of courage to follow your heart at such a young age, other people can be so cruel, how are family/friends etc towards you? Love the hair btw!

OK, here's a post to put a spanner in the works!!!

Hope you take this the way it is meant!!! No criticism, just observation.

I couldn't have been quite sure when I saw your picture ... boy or girl?? There are a lot of similar looking people about ; pre-op transgender etc, and I find it quite hard to tell sometimes ... some are easier than others to 'spot', I mean the men dressing as women that still have stubble, and HUGE hands!!

So, I couldn't have been quite sure when you asked, but, hey, it's none of my business anyway! If you feel you are a boy, then you will come across as that anyway. The op will only make physical what isn't at the moment!

However, I am surprised that you are only 15. No criticism or anything, but a question from someone who does not know a huge amount about these things ..... How can you be sure you should be a boy?? At 15??

I have a daughter about your age, and she flips from one radical idea to another daily ; not sure of anything really ... she is growing and forming ideas about all sorts of things. I am sure you have had this before from other people, but how can you be sure at such a young age (sorry, don't want to be patronising).

Anyway, please enlighten me!! And I wish you all the best, and true contentment!

You definitely look like a guy in my oppinion..and a gorgeous one too!

I had a girlfriend a long time ago and she wanted to be a boy and was going to transition, but decided to be a tomboyish girl.

when i was goig out with her, she had so much male energy she was more manly than a lot of guys id been out with!

good luck with the transition and welcome to the forum. hugs ivy x

lol here we go again with a whole lot of replies..

Heidi:I dress in men's clothes for school and family gatherings and stuff and I do ask people to call me Sean where it doesn't cause any problems for them. If it's too difficult, then they stick to my birth name. Teachers call me Sean most of the time as it's just what I respond to. I've explained that as some people have nicknames, that's what I'd like to be called. They respect that.

Missfit:cheers for the hair comment. (Although it's slightly different) And thanks for saying the courage stuff. It's taken people a while to understand etc.. but now they're great. I've always been a boy, and people understand that.

brassed2bits:Cheers for your honesty. I truly do appreciate it. Ever since I can remember, I've felt uncomfortable in my body. It's like being... trapped. When younger and playing dressing up games, I would ask people to call me 'sir' etc.. I would run around naked and cover the bottom part of me (this was until quite an old age) instead of the top and stuff. I just know that I am a boy. It's not something that has ever changed and although gender appears to be so simple and black and white, I see it as more of a continuum whereby people are at different places along the spectrum. I, myself have always been at the male end. Rather than this being about my clothes or hairstyle, it's about who I am inside and when I get called 'he', my heart feels so whole. Hope the helps a bit.

Ivy:Lovely post. Thanks for the warm welcome.

Justine:Breasts on the way lol. ;).. What a lovely girl.

Tory:Cheers, mate.

Vorpalblade:Noone realises, these days. It's the whole maturaty thing etc. But hey, I think it's cool whatever age I appear.

can i ask another question?

i am a secondary school teacher. i know how hard it is for most kids to survive the years they spend with me. most are bullied at one point or another. kids at our school get their lives made hell for coming out as gay, i cant imagine how a TG would cope.

do you get bullied? do you have friends that accept you for who you are?

of course, feel free not to answer
