Carole
I was just wondering how many of you are around my age (18) and recieving psychotherapy.Saw my therapist today (he's currently assessing me) and he said that I am actually fairly young to recieve therapy. Was just wondering if anyone else has been told the same or are in the same situation.

beamfrostold
ive been in therapy since i was 17/8 had a wee break in middle, i wouldnt class 18 as that young for therapy really but you would need to be mature enough to want to change and work with them and realise that you have to do the hard work as well as them. kib0ne
I think CAMHS can do a lot of good work, I guess its the same as adult services with the variation in quality of service team to team etc. In the main my personal experience of CAMHS were positive, we're talking about adecade ago note, but it saved my life.
