flowergirl Posted January 29, 2005 Report Share Posted January 29, 2005 Hiya, On December 23rd I stopped taking my tablets for fluoxetine 80mg, I had seen my GP on the Wednesday and then he suggested by taking the increased dosage of 80mg instead of 60mg I was doing myself no favours, that the feelings would be psychological and not realistic. So I though f... it and stopped taking them altogether. Was OK during Christmas and beginning of new year, but started to falter therafter. Went back and got repeat presecription two days ago for 80mg fluoxetine, then appointment for today for doctor. He was p....ed off that I dicontinued my meds but told me it was a goof time to change meds, put me on efexor, needs to see me in 4 weeks to increase dosage. Don't know if this will work any better but at least I am trying! I know he thinks I am a freak but who cares!
