How I long to forget the memories."Keep your faith in God," "For faith in the Father will set you free."Kind words from strangers They don't know how they cut into my soul.They don't understand My memories aren't something I can control.I know they aren't real anymore But they swirl around me, obscuring allI cry out for help Too weak to stand, so out of the fog I crawl.This fight I'm alone Just me trying to stand up to the past.Its over and done, I'm making amends for all I tresspassed.I don't have regrets, But, I wish some things had turned out different.Decisions I made, Ones I wouldn't have, had I known the tormentAll works together Memories make me who I am inside.Embrace all of me The mistakes I made, the tears I cried.
