Katherine Posted February 23, 2005 Report Share Posted February 23, 2005 what do you hate about it? how does it affect you? have you taken it before? it usually takes a while for meds to work optimally. valium is usually given short term.probably good if you are going through such an intense period of anxiety as you are? I don't love it either but I have the same therory as you, if it's keeping me out of hospital then I'll take it. I see my dr tomorrow and won't be suprised if mine is increased. Claire Posted February 23, 2005 Report Share Posted February 23, 2005 I bloody love valium!! Which is not a good thing... I only take it when I feel very unhinged and need calming down. It didn't make me sleep, just makes me very relaxed and I can get through the storm and come out of the other side. I don't know if it is good for you to take it, but maybe you really, really need just to relax right now, and it is just the ticket for that. But like Kari said, it is only meant for short term, or occasional use.
