Inachus io Posted July 12, 2004 Report Share Posted July 12, 2004 I have a prescription for BuSpar, that's supposed to help treat my anxiety. I haven't filled it yet. I also have another prescription for GABA coming up for a month after I start taking BuSpar. I am incredibly suspicious of psychiatric medicine. I've been on a lot of medications, and the SSRIs are such an awful experience that I look cross-eyed at all of them. I try to get information on these drugs before I try them out. BuSpar doesn't look too bad, so far, and I think i'll give it a shot. It's the GABA that puzzles me. So far I can't find any information about its use in the treatment of BPD - and so far all I have found are some wild claims that it stimulates your brain into producing Human Growth Hormone, which plays a part in preventing aging. But the psychiatrist went straight to instructions on how to start me taking GABA after my BuSpar dose has stabilized and how it's affecting me.
