I Guess A Up Date Of A Old Timer

Barebones

Recommended Posts

I just felt the need to be here and write, so many things going on and finding things hard to cope.

I am waiting for my exams results for this past semester, also i was working at the time doing both courses. I am now under doc sick note from work which at first brought probs itself, but now is better.

My probs is that my BPD stabilised but brought attention to pysical health problems this past year and half or prob more. I am trying to work through both, but health has been declining, which brought on after 8 months of work to be off work.

The good news is i am getting good grades on my assessments in my course work, which one should be that i have past, other is i flunked as it was my first exasm in 20 odd years and my nerve and illness got the better. So hey ho,i will resit it, and hopfully that i gain from both is 40 + 20 i am away to do, i am working up in getting a Diplomar to either get that or gain access into 3rd year degree of my choice.

I guess i am just feeling really down and need to talk. I have an appoitment at hospital this month to carry on investigation of my blood pressure and sickness and other shit.So i am hoping for a result, to get me back working and energy for my study.

I just feel tired, and sick of having to explain myself to doctors, which one thought 70/40 in blood pressure was normal. I was asked by a GP what i thought was matter? for fucks sake! i am not payed or anything to give them the inducation of what is the matter. The doc who signed me off agreed in me seeking 2nd oponion in my blood pressure. The thing is my original doc left the practice and i am left with no help. Last i knew was that i saw them monthly to check medication and effect and any other probs. Fuk knows!

So has is stands, i could have good grades from uni, after finding out i have dyslexia and dysgraghia and ADD. prob more but who cares!.

Health wise, i have restarted smoking after a year! and only small amount of drink, depending, as i have zero tolerance of alcohol.

So great things happening, butf shit in health and probs at home.

Sry for boring people, i just wanted to write and get it all out, and see plus signes.

Hugs to peeps i know and hey to peeps i don't

hey hun :) good to see you

sorry you been having health problems, its so frustrating when you have to go through a charade of tests and them trying to find out whats gong on. and to ask you what you think is wrong??? i wonder if the docs are idiots or just lazy

well done on the assessments and im glad you are able to resit one of them. i used to be terrible taking exams so god knows how i would deal with it now. in spite of things you are fighting and doing well, am really pleased for you :D

all the best with them working out your health stuff.

Thanks guys, means alot in hearing from you all.

Welcome leslie to the nut house :)

I do still watch over you all, to see how you all are getting on.

Rael, i also am crap at exams, lucky enough my Ecology and enviromental science exam was multichoice, it helped alot in making pathways to what revision i tried doing and taking in, as it linked to words i may not of been able to just write down out of my brain, so it benefited me in the long run, not like my Geology exam which was essay based and had to try unscramble my brain for correct words.

The next semester is i will be tackling tools of science and chemistry. Many of the old timers here will remember my interests in forensic anthropology and pathology and over all forensic science. I am uncertain in what direction i will go, as i am trying out all kinds of science to see what my best subject is in, also where the jobs are. So i will see further down the line. Sry for boring you all with this lol, it has tooken me a long time to settle myself and have confidence to go back into education and keep going. specially at such a high level and feel worthy at being at university.

My husband has just finnished a honours degree in networking which he got 1st place in the class and has now a 1st degree honours with distinction and won Cisco prize. I am well chuffed for him, as he is no thicky like me lol.

My daughter is doing well in school, i guess she gets that from her dad. Me and her still clash a bit, but we are working on building a solid relationship together. That did come with a price, as me and husband has cut strings with his mum, so kay doesn't get to see her anymore. Why that happened is a very long story, so i wont bore you with it, so just say that since kay doesn't see her, is that me and kay has a better relationship and ability to improve.

I do hope that i give you all a positive vibe, that things can and do improve for us peeps with mental illness, it just takes time and strength to fight it. There will allways be times that you may step a little backwards, just aslong you keep shuffling forwards, it will all build up.

Sry for the long story or lecture lol.

Take care my beauties, you all shine in your own ways.

((((((((MAJOR HUGS))))))))))

Your bp is 70/40? And the doctor said normal? hell no.

Do you get light headed and dizzy? I have low blood pressure but not as low as yours. Your GP needs to go back to medical school

Hi ya faerie xx

Hi Ruth, this wasn't the GP who came to that conclussion, it was a endo speacialist lol he wrote back to one of my GPs and said was normal. so go figure eh?

I have kind of got past the dizzy stage, its sickness and other things. I have become adjusted to the diffrence in my blood pressure so i kind of watch what i am doing. Some times its out of my control, in the likes of just bending over slightly to towel dry my hair. I will find out next week a bit more when i go to general medicine for there opinion and overall probs i have. I reckon i will end up back at endo clinic. Some peeps say how do you know its not normal? well i have known for years that yes i do have low bloods pressure, but has never gone below 100/80. It has progressed futher since last year, when i was checked for general things. So i guess i will see.

Thanks for understanding.

xx

Do you have regular blood tests and weigh ins?

I am concerned because i have stopped feeling dizzy and light headed. Not good i think, but i know i have poor curculation. always have cold hands and feet.

I have only just noticed you are in Scotland. Ace. Another one to join the club :)

Hi ya ruth,

No i don't have regular bloods and that, my old gp left the practice few months ago and i am left with who i can get. This annoyes me as i am supposed to be seen 4 weekly for check of medication and that, i have not once been asked for follow up on that. So when i see my pschy i will make sure he knows.

Regarding on your progression and lack of dizzyness and that, it maybe that you have come accustom to the low pressure, or it has righted itself. On the other hand is that you should be tested and be given 24hr blood pressure monitor to see what your blood pressure is doing. This it self will show a little in why or how far it drops. There is a number of reasons for low blood pressure, one is postural, meaning from standing and that. So many factors, thats why last i knew for myself is last i knew my pressure was showing hypotension, the other symptoms is that i should of been tested for reasons why. You said you have poor circulation? that itself is a symptom and a factor and should be looked into.

I am no doctor, but i do have knowledge of how the bloody body works, so yep its frustrating. All in all i just want to feel better and get on with my life, this with either a problem or with diagnoses of one of the most controversal medical disease today is bloody ME or Chronic fatigue syndrom. My pschy will not address or diagnose me with CFS until every other allyway has been investigated.

So i am trying to hang in there.

Ruth if you are concerned, get advice, if you don't like what they say is get 2nd opinion, you are entitled and don't take the shit.

Take care fellow lass

Hiya hen,

Thyanks for the advise. I check in with my GP for weigh ins every fortnight, so I will quiz him on my symptoms.

Sorry to hear you are going through such a rough patch, but well done on your academic success. I hope you get a diagnosis soon so you can start to get better

Gees i do miss our early morning chats when i was at uni!

Good to hear from you. Although sorry to hear of the health concerns and problems. I know how that can be, and i really hope it all gets done and dusted soon - with a good result!

Glad you and daughter are getting on better, although shame it had to come at a price.

Good luck with all the degree stuff. I'm sure you'll do well, and good on you for resitting the exam.

Take care of yourself.
