sanctuary
Hacking sobs, tortured moans, Unleashed grief, racks my bones, I'm overwhelmed, taken over, Thoughts of self destruction hover... The darkest hour, deep in the night, Loneliness stabs, I get a fright! Silence follows then an Owl hoots I'm petrified and shaking in my boots Painful thoughts and memories Flood my mind, refuse to leave I push and send them far away To deal with them another day ------------------ Dawn arrives, the birds awake And sing of all of my mistkes I fear the day and terror strikes And no on'es hear to hear my plight I'm all alone, no one to guide me Terrified, no one beside me All the fears of yesterday Linger woefully in to today

gavin
Dear sanctuary Very powerful poem of night elements, There is no departure from the night in elevation, The idle owl of night, shaking in your boots, That are incumbent upon your sleep, I really did enjoy your poems, gavin
