When one door of happiness closes, another opens, but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one that has been opened for us.

Helen Keller

No longer forward nor behind

I look in hope and fear;

But grateful take the good I find,

The best of now and here.

Don't think. FEEL. It is like a finger pointing away to the moon. Do not concentrate on the finger or you will miss all that heavenly glory. - Bruce Lee, Enter The Dragon

I absolutely LOVE those lines from Shakespeare.

One of my favourite quotes is: "Friendship is not the outstretched hand, nor the kindly smile or the joy of companionship. It is the spritual inspiration that comes to one when he discovers that someone else believes in him and is willing to trust him." - Ralph Waldow Everson, but it was said to me by my first counsellor when I was 15, and she was amazing <3

Here are my favourites from the good book. I'm not religious but I like these quotes anyways. Some of these are pretty grim so I'll warn you now not to read if you don't want to get triggered!

Everything is meaningless, says the Teacher, completely meaningless!

What do people get for all their hard work under the sun? Generations come and generations go, but the earth never changes. The sun rises and the sun sets, then hurries around to rise again. The wind blows south, and then turns north. Around and around it goes, blowing in circles. Rivers run into the sea, but the sea is never full. Then the water returns again to the rivers and flows out again to the sea. Everything is wearisome beyond description. No matter how much we see, we are never satisfied. No matter how much we hear, we are not content.

History merely repeats itself. It has all been done before. Nothing under the sun is truly new. Sometimes people say, Here is something new! But actually it is old; nothing is ever truly new.

Let the day of my birth be erased,

and the night I was conceived.

Let that day be turned to darkness.

Let it be lost even to God on high,

and let no light shine on it.

Let the darkness and utter gloom claim that day for its own.

Let a black cloud overshadow it,

and let the darkness terrify it.

Let that night be blotted off the calendar,

never again to be counted among the days of the year,

never again to appear among the months.

Let that night be childless.

Let it have no joy.

Let those who are experts at cursing

whose cursing could rouse Leviathan[a]

curse that day.

Let its morning stars remain dark.

Let it hope for light, but in vain;

may it never see the morning light.

Curse that day for failing to shut my mothers womb,

for letting me be born to see all this trouble."

He told you to shave your heads in sorrow for your sins

and to wear clothes of burlap to show your remorse.

But instead, you dance and play;

you slaughter cattle and kill sheep.

You feast on meat and drink wine.

You say, Lets feast and drink,

for tomorrow we die!

I've got a few more but those are the ones that really stuck with me.

A Woman's prayer:

Dear LORD, I pray for WISDOM to understand my man, LOVE to forgive him, and PATIENCE for his moods. Because, LORD, if I pray for STRENGTH, I'll beat him to death!

What we don't let out traps us. We think, No one else feels this way, I must be crazy. So we don't say anything. And we become enveloped by a deep loneliness, not knowing where our feelings come from or what to do with them.....

and..

Of course I'm crazy, but that doesn't mean I'm wrong!
