The volunteers who moderate this place are human and fellow-sufferers, and in my opinion they should be allowed to have avatars which reflect their own personality. You are right it is a bit utilitarian and harsh ... We in fact said this ourselves, but the time we would have used to find a new one , or change the colour was over taken by the need to moderate the forum.
