Squeakybird Posted March 16, 2010 Report Share Posted March 16, 2010 To any of you who have ever had a life long compulsion to virtually sleepwalk to the kitchen to eat in the middle of the night (often more than once), I have cute short story of recovery. I got a black and brindle colored Shih Tzu puppy back in January 2008. By the time she could sleep in our bed, she had been getting up with me during the night to go the kitchen. By the time she was 2 years old, this little 7 pound dog started waking ME up for her midnight snack! How about that? LOL. I valued training her OUT of that behavior more than I could stop my own behavior. I have eaten all during the night since childhood until now, 46 years old. My parental feelings toward a little dog (plus desire not to be woken up) totally corrected this! Amazing. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
