Poiple Posted March 7, 2011 Report Share Posted March 7, 2011 The maximum recommended by BNF is 800mg. My GP also told me it was 800mg. I think psychiatrists can prescribe higher if they deem it necessary but this is rare and at the discretion of the doctor.
