Hi Kelly and welcome,

It's understandable to feel that way following a diagnosis - it can take a while to sink in and it's important that we allow ourselves to have that time.

I have BPD too. Is there something in particular you'd like to know? If you have any questions, ask away and i'll help you as much as i can, as i'm sure others will too.

In the meantime, i'm not sure if you know much about these illnesses, but these might be a few places to start to find out a bit more about them -

BPD -

Bipolar -

There's a bit somewhere on the mind website with diff organisations you can contact as well for support/info/advice, which might be worth making a note of.

You'll find lots of info and other's experiences with these illnesses by wandering around the forums here too, and i hope it helps you.

When are you next seeing your MH worker? As they should have really taken the time to explain to you, but i understand that sometimes it can be just too much to take in at once. Maybe it is a good idea to ask for some more information next time you speak?

Look forward to seeing you posting more, and am sure you'll find this place really helpful.

Hi Kelly, welcome to the forums. :)

What you've found here is a wonderful place full of people from all walks of life, with a wide range of diagnoses, who are always ready and willing to lend support and attention whenever it's needed.

I do hope you find this place as supportive as I have in the past, I can honestly say that being a member here has saved my life more than once.
