Oh Gosh - Going Out Tonight!

This has been on the cards for a while but I didn't want to post about it before now because I didn't know whether I would actually feel like going.

Hubby and I are going to a charity gig which was recommended by someone on here and it's to raise money for the college where it is being held, Cloth Cat who provide free music courses and High Royds Memorial Gardens - High Royds is the old psych hospital here where we live in Leeds.

So just going to wash my hair, have a bath, do my face and out me and hubby go!!

A bit excited and a bit terrified of meeting new people but we both need to get out and have a nice time after what has been going on with me this last week.

Will let you all know how it went tomorrow!! :)

Good morning everyone

Thank you so much for all your good luck wishes.

It was DJJK from this site that recommended the gig and so we saw him play and he was amazing - he's got a fantastic voice!! Everybody else who played was really good as well. It was a really nice atmosphere and hubby enjoyed himself as well.

It was great to meet DJJK who is absolutely lovely and also his girlfriend who is really sweet and lovely and very pretty. I felt really quite at ease with them which was good considering I haven't met new people for what seems like an eternity!

The gig went on til midnight but we didn't stay til then because I was getting tired but we saw DJJK play which was the most important thing. So then hubby and I went to a place called Fuji Hiro and had some noodles and they do the best dumplings and so we had some of them as well - yummy.

Then we called for a taxi and came home - got back at about 10.30pm. Took my make-up off, put my jim-jams on and fell into bed exhausted but so pleased that we'd had such a good night and it really did help to take my mind off things.

I also had a chat to one of the guys who runs Arts and Minds and he said to register on their website and then he would send me information about the next things that they are doing. I don't want to jump in with both feet after being away from socialising for so long but it does seem like a really nice project and would like to get more involved with it.

So I must say I am a little bit proud of myself this morning and it has really helped to perk my mood up as well! :)

If I hear of any more like this one, I'll let you know! - was great to see you guys last night...and I get what you mean entirely about the pressure of going out socially, especially when you haven't been out in a while...

Tom's a lovely guy and the stuff they do is all usually as laid back as last night was, which is why I enjoy it - as I said last night, I try and stay away from the rowdier gigs now as it's not necessarily a social environment that works for me...the only way I'm able to relax in these environments is not feeling like I have to hide, but at the same time, not feeling like I have to spell it out either.

Good on you for getting down and proving to yourself that you are more capable than you give yourself credit for...but let's face it - we're all guilty of that one aren't we! :)

Hope to see you at the next one! - let me know how you get on with Arts and Minds...

Will do and yes I totally agree about it being good because it wasn't rowdy and not having to hide or explain myself to anyone either. I can't thank you enough because this has given me a push in the right direction :) xx

Of course! I've got my RBR team shirt and Vettel hoodie on, just got to grab my hat and my obligatory can of Red Bull and off I go. :P I have a feeling it will be a good'un today. Hope you and your hubby enjoy too <3

Just seen this. Hope you don't mind me saying, but you look so slim, you seem to have lost weight since the last photo. You look quite sexy, can I say that? :ashamed0005:

Please you had a good night. I see it as a very big achievement for what you did last night.

xx
