Hello :)

I have been prescribed this for Vertigo but noticed that it is actually an antiP so I was wondering if anyone here has any knowledge of it at all... I don't have to take it but the doctor says it will help with my room-spins i have been getting.

Any help or advice would be really appreciated.

Thanks for reading xxx

I was given it once when I presented at A and E feeling so dizzy I could barely stand or walk. It was actually a very severe panic attack, we discovered [the dr was ace]. But he gave it to me anyway, as he said it would help with the dizziness. It did, a bit. Though my GP would have rather I not had it..

Like you, I found it was also an AP, but at higher doses.

Thanks both - not so scared of taking them now then :)

Hate meds, even for physical things, but I guess necessary evil !!!

thanks all :)

i dunno how long they take to work, but so far no change! still getting rooms spins in the morning in bed when i turn over and occasionally during the day when i forget and look up or down...

but tbh i am getting used to it and the feeling is quite nice - like being a bit high and drunk for about 5 seconds!

i'll give it a few more days on the tablets and then sack them off if they still don't do anything and go back doctor...
