walker
CONTEMPLATING DISCLOSURE Alone, drawn taut inside herself her eyes shut open, motionless. Her hand cups a tiny pebble insignficant, still held in sanctity. So light, yet she is doubled by the enormity of its force. No pumice this, its core bears the leaden weight of fear. Breathless, she dare not release her tortured treasure; that dropped, gently, rents the surface with nuclear ferocity. Casting mountainous shadows; scattering charred souls into unexpected horror. Inextinguishable meltdown of normality, security and hoped futures. No ripples these, nor delicate waves dancing in sunlight's mirth. No stilling of these waters, forever drowning. Silenced, she curls her fingers.
carlylight1
((((walker)))) it feels inappropriate to comment on how good the poem is (its startlingly brilliant) considering the pain it has been rendered from. its no consolation but i'm glad you found your voice to speak this xxxx
walker
bless you DEAR vivien the affirmation of others means SO much to us if only we could clasp it as tight as that pebble !! The poem grew from a discussion with cpn about the enormity of what 'could' happen

Saharah Blue
beautifully portrayed, you do have a lot of beauty in the midst of your pain. I see it in your writing, your crochet. I don't know I could have ever coped with my pain as I have without a creative outlet to help see me through. I echo Viv.

bibiddi
Walker, I am pleased that you have written the poem, it feels as if silence has been around you for a while. But words are coming back. Important, powerful words. Words that are being written, that are being spoken. You have the words in your possession. It is an important poem, and I too echo Viviens description of it being startlingly brilliant.
