ArtMatters Posted January 18, 2013 Report Share Posted January 18, 2013 Fuzzy bits of memory Flawed and raw with disillusionment Wandering lost, without words Words don’t hear Words don’t speak What can’t be said Is it déjà vu or is it metaphysics Neither, they’re just words A touch, a glance, a place, a face A marker of a time a space Thick air and cold wind Racing heart and momentary clarity Epiphany tease A realization With no real conclusion Nothing comprehensive Just a feeling, a glimmer of something The earth pulls you near Then it pushes you away Connected and disconnected Big dreams, no dreams at all A vacant stare and a hiccup of thought Urgency, potent and unwavering Longing for comfort For touch, for intimacy Then space again We’re alone, be alone We’re connected, be connected Time slipping, time lingering Fleshless touch Blind gaze Instinct meets hope Foot meets pavement Step by step Moment by moment Just keep going But where?
