frankk
Do the forum believe that current mental health laws prohibit people from being employed. Is mental health law discriminating against those in society who are not classed as disabled or medically unfit to work and what classes as mental health? http://www.govtoday.co.uk/mental-health/12660-time-to-reform-our-shameful-mental-health-laws
SusieQ
A lot of questions there. Sadly I don't think I know enough about mental health law to answer them. I read the article though. Was thought provoking - especially the WHO predictions that depression will be the biggest health problem by 2030. What's even more sad about it is that depression has always seemed to me to be a bit of a non-diagnosis (i.e. a state of being that we all experience not relating to anything unusual within a person, but has been pro-longed such that it becomes dehabilitating and warrents medical attention). So we are creating a world that is not fit for human beings to live in...
