gandalftheginge
Either the Dresden files series by jim butcher or the kingkiller chronicles by Patrick rothfuss. Both helped me through really difficult times.
johnbooth1963
Ash, Ive read all the Dresden files, waiting for skin games (on pre-order from amazon). brilliant books. I also love Michael Jecks, the Templar knight murder mysteries, and James Herbert. In fact I've just bought a James Herbert novel titled Ash. Lol. Elke
Desiderata is a good writing. Eckhart Tolle (can be heard on YouTube - and has books) is a good inspiration for me. Inspiring teacher and adds a bit of humour to his teachings, so you he also makes me chuckle.
lonelyheartemma
I like books that are fun and enjoyable but not perfect. They inspire me to write something that's closer to perfect. But the publishers don't agree with me about what perfect means so I have to find the overlap between my perfect and theirs. I also love books that are perfect in every way, a complete work of art. They inspire me to capture at least a part of what makes them so special and try to learn how to do it. Books don't really inspire me to do anything except write. Maybe they should.
