Getting Out Of A Depressed Funk Through Action/goals...

is this a normal path to take?

I think one reason I got into a depressed state in the past was I felt out of control over my life, and didn't have much means to handle my experiences/environment.

The thing is, some goals have not come to pass as I'd like, and I guess I shouldn't put strong emphasis on this as it's to get me from a funk.

But then how normal is this approach, and is it recommended?

Hey, I think setting goals in your life is a really good idea. That's when I returned to having goals that I thought I was cured from depression. Courage, have faith in yourself. ;)
