leigh92
I went back to my Doctors and actually got somewhere (different doctor), which is good, but I've been referred for a mental health assessment, and my GP didn't really explain what this entails. I'm really nervous about it, does anyone know what will happen?
Data
I am guessing you will see a psychiatrist for about 1-2 hours. They will then ask you a lot of questions about your feelings, your symptoms, your habits (sleep, eating, alcohol/drugs), your childhood, your history etc. They then may make a diagnosis, perhaps suggest medication or a change of medication, and perhaps other help (therapy etc). They should give you an opportunity to ask questions and talk about the things that concern you as well.
basimelhabashy
Don't worry. Nothing will be wrong. Just be positive and get well soon.
