MischaD
When I am really upset, manic and distressed I start speaking in a character voice - like a cartoon witch. I hear this voice in my head and its as if it's making the words come out. My husband gets annoyed and says 'why are you speaking in that voice again?' I have to fight to speak in my normal voice and I can hear the witch cackling in my head and I feel like she's taking over my body. What is this? Does anyone else get anything similar? MischaD
Thanks for your reply. I often feel I need to be treated and spoken to like a child or baby. Guess that's probably because of the lack of bond when I was one.
bluemoon5
When I was in group therapy I regressed into a child. They talked to me about grounding myself so that I could express myself as an adult but also keep with the feelings. Maybe something for you to explore. b0bulat0r
I speak differently when different aspects of my personality are dominant, Its not just a different voice but even my vocabulary changes and so does my non verbal communication like my body language and hand gestures. especially so when angry.
