Some Old Poems.

I'm kind of new. Well okay, very new. One hour old. Anyway, just thought I'd post some of my poetry. Unfortunately this is the best I have. I'm still working on progressing from angst ridden (not very well written) rhyming couplets.

I wrote this one after the 7/7 bombings.

Felt a familiar fear creeping,

heard them weeping again,

in the gallows;

where the dead were slain,

Innocence was stained,

by the blood that keeps seeping.

Caught a train to hell and back,

witness to when humanity fell again,

in the fires;

where the evil burnt our eyes,

and the fear they scorched on our skin,

shows us where the devil's been.

This one about a SA.

The surface splits

and for a split second it

stops; the silence is still.

Nothing moves beyond the

blood pumping in her ears,

and the slow spread of her life,

Across the once white tiles.

Like the open mouthed cherub

the pain streams forth, departs

completely; peace has come.

With open arms she embraces

the coming darkness; lets go.

It is over, it is done, and then:

She blinks.

Fear sets in

Like a stone stuck in her ribs, she

swallows her tongue; silently screams.

One moment stretched over her

soul, seems like a lifetime.

Sinking was once freedom, now it

chokes her like razor-wire.

Soiled hands reach out to hold on,

squeezing life like lava into the

frozen lake inside.

And this is one I wrote about abortion.

Death was my gift

To the unborn

Without breath

Without form

You disolved

I gave birth to only darkness

This is my gift to you

Corruption of the innocent

An unseen face

An unknown eye

Follows me like a painting

Through the hollow rooms

Of my barren womb

A blank slate

You left no impression

No creation

Only blood clots still beating

As the nuclei flounder

And drain the poison well

I'm having serious writers block at the moment. I hate when my brain dies.
