you decide, this is it the last time.

"i wont do it again" you promise yourself.

but you know,

you have made this promise before

"it's different this time"

you try to persuade yourself

that you can stop this,

that you WANT to stop this.

You do it.

you reach for the blade,

the same one you promised

you would never use again.

You look at it.

wondering if it is really worth it?

"it helps" you tell yourself

but you know it wont last.

and then you will need to do it again,

and again,

and again.

But this IS the last time.
